Not all Pippa collectors are lucky enough to still have their childhood dolls. Lesley is one of the lucky few:  "this picture was taken in the 80's after I had left home, I think it's Christmas '89 at my flat.  I took Britt with me when I left home in 1983 having retrieved her from the loft along with the Christmas decorations.  Her first appearance on the Christmas Tree was probably 1979, at least that is approximately when I made that awful fairy outfit out of an old petticoat hehe!  underneath she actually had my old ballerina Sindy lilac tutu!!  I think she came down from the tree in 1999 when I finally replaced her with a Tesco fairy, cleaned her up and went on ebay to find her original outfit, and that's when I rediscovered Pippa and joined the Pippa Club.  I don't have an earlier picture of her in the tree, but indeed she was the fairy for 20 years!!"
