Connie  (Florida, US)

This is a picture of my cousin Margaret (left) and me Connie on the right. This was one of the lucky times I got to visit and play with my cousin Margaret. She was born the same month, same year, same city as me.

This picture is significant to me because it was around the time my Mom and Dad were divorcing. I was unaware at the time of what was going on. It was the end of happier times for me. Maybe that was why Dawn has been so important to me.

I think the picture is in 1971 which made me about 5. I was still Daddy's little girl and didn't realize what was ahead with the divorce and being separated by nearly the entire continent of the US from my dad.

On a happy note; however, my mother was able to find all of my tattered collection of Dawns. There were 2 side part Glori's (my favorite as a girl), 1 straight hair Glori with bangs, 3 Angies, 2 boys Gary and Ron, 2 Longlocks, 3 Angies, 3 Dawns, the six doll case and some tattered clothes (mostly homeade) and the rest had no fasteners so were held together with rubberbands.
